I'm not a very competitive person, but I do have a strong desire to beat Travis at things. He has made me this way. He wins ALL THE TIME and is good at EVERYTHING he tries, so once in a while it would be nice to humble him. During Christmas break we went bowling with my family. I was ahead of him the whole time, until the last frame.
He's T and I'm the 2nd A. Well, at least he didn't beat me.

Travis passed his Athletic Training Certification test!! It was a BIG test and it's very common to not pass it your first time (we know many trainers that have taken in mulitiple times). Next step: turn in PHYSICAL THERAPY APPLICATIONS in the next week!

This past weekend my best friend was able to come down and spend the weekend with me in Cedar. We had a blast! Friday night we went to the Tuachan and watched "The Little Mermaid". It was so cool! The effects, costumes, songs, everything was so awesome! The play started out with water flooding the stage and Prince Erik's boat "floating" into the scence. Everytime the play was "underwater" they had a sheet of water coming out of sprinkers attached to the top of the stage and they would project images of fish and water onto it. It looked awesome! My favorite part was "Under the Sea". That song was so much fun and just kept on going! Saturday night we went to the Demolition Derby in Parowan. Heber has set some high expectations for Derby's and Parowan let us down. The arena was so small, not very many cars entered into the derby, and they kept doing a mini car figure 8 race that was not fun. I go to derby's to see cars smash into each other, not to race around tires. Oh well, we still had a good time. The rest of the time was spent laughing, reminiscing, and just having a good time! I have the best best friend :)

A Really Cool Place

Last week Travis and I were able to go to the temple and I had two really neat experiences that I would like to share.

Neat experience #1: About an hour before we left for the temple we found out that some of our friends were getting a divorce. They had been married about 1 1/2 years and he found out some things about her he wasn't ok with and he left. When we found this out it kind of shook us up. They seemed like a solid couple that were really in love and willing to work things out. We talked about this the whole ride down to St. George. We went through our session and made it into the Celestial room. I was walking around and looking into the sealing rooms and had an overwhelming peace come upon me. Looking in that room I knew that Travis and I will be together for all of eternity. We will have hard times, but nothing will be strong enough to tear us apart. This was such an amazing feeling and was so reassuring after the sad news we had just heard.

Neat experience #2: As I mentioned in my previous post I got my wisdom teeth out. The healing process was long and hard. They had been out for a week and I was still in a lot of pain. I went back to the dentist thinking I had dry socket only to find out that some food had gotten in the holes and was rotting (sick, I know). He cleaned it out and told me to continue to clean the sockets out and I should be good. Wrong. I was still in just as much pain as before he cleaned it out. (To make matters worse every time I took a Loratab I threw it up). By the time Saturday rolled around (the day we went to the temple) I was fed up with the whole situation. I was in so much pain, out of ideas of what to do, and completely frustrated that it seemed like there was nothing I could do about it. I took enough Ibuprofen to get me through the next couple of hours and we went to our session. While I was in the temple I knew that if I had enough faith in my Heavenly Father he would heal me. I said a prayer in the Celestial room and told Heavenly Father that I do have faith in him and asked that he would take some of the pain away from me so I could complete my day to day tasks. Sure enough, the Lord took care of me and lifted me up when I needed it. I wasn't instantly healed, but the pain level dropped drastically and it has continued to drop as time has gone on. It has been two weeks since I had them taken out and I am almost 100% better.

I am so grateful for the blessings I have received in the temple, and that I know I will continue to receive. I want anyone who is able to go to the temple to go. We can always make up excuses and reasons to not go, but I know that when we do go we are blessed beyond measure. I am so thankful for this church and the knowledge is gives me.

And The Winner Is.....

If I were to give out an award for the best husband, I would give it to Travis (duh). There are numerous reasons why he is the best, but here is the reason why I choose to blog about.

Last week I got my wisdom teeth. I was really scared because EVERYONE felt like it was their duty to tell me horror stories about it. Especially since I was only getting numbed. I told Travis he didn't need to go with me, but he gladly said he would go with me. He brought his Athletic Training book with him and said he would study in the lobby.

They called me back and as I turned around to sit in the chair there is Travis right behind me. He said that he was going to sit in the room with me instead. (lucky for him the dentist let him watch the whole thing. He loved it) I was so glad he was there because every time I would flinch, he was there holding my hand or stroking my leg to let me know he was there and that it would be ok. I know that getting your wisdom teeth out is a routine proceedure and it happens to everyone, but it was a big deal to me and I was glad he was there for me.

When it was over, he gingerly helped me to the car. He was so sweet the next few days (week)making sure I was ok and that I had everything that I needed (want). After he got me home and situated he went to the store and bought me ice cream, fruit bars, pudding, soup, juice, and all the essential lack of wisdom teeth foods.

Since I was numb I couldn't tell when there was a blood/saliva running down my chin. That is something that should gross normal people out, but he would just help me wipe it off and tell me that he loved me.

He told me as a reward for doing this (since I am a little kid and need a reward for doing things such as this) he will buy me Pringles as soon as I can eat them and he will watch a chick flick with me.

I love Travis so much and am so grateful for how well he always take care of me. I think of all the times I have been sick (which is a lot because I catch everything) and how he is always so sweet and tender to me. I am so lucky to have him and appreciate all he does for me.

I love July! There is always so much to do, the weather is usually nice, and you get to spend a lot of it with family! I feel like it is one big holiday! Our July started off with the annual BBQ in Midway. I had such a blast. I love being with all my sisters and their husbands,my parents, and love love being able to play with my nephews and niece (soon to be nieces!) prob more than any of them even realize. I cherish every time I get to be with them since sometimes it feels like it isn't enough. Lately I suck at a taking pics and the only ones we get are ones that Travis has taken when I am not paying attention, so I am glad he got a few pics of our last few holiday celebrations! Our next holiday in July was at the Ute Stampede. Yes, this is a holiday. We love being able to go each year and to be a part of the parades, booths, car shows, and of course rodeo's!

One of the Many Things We Disagree On

Travis loves exercise. I mean he really really LOVES it. Most days he does it twice a day. Basketball at 5:30 in the morning (another major difference between us for another conversation), and P90X in the afternoon. Or raquetball, or riding his bike, crossfit, or whatever he can do. I do not like exercise. I dare say that I HATE it. We are complete opposites in this realm. If I exercise once a month I feel really fit and like I'm doing my part.

In March, Travis became a Certified Personal Trainer. The test was brutal, but he passed it with flying colors! At the beginning of this month he got a job doing boot camps for SUU employees (not me, I would never go to a boot camp at 6:00 a.m.). He loves it! The person that he is doing this with just told him that she is opening a gym in August and would like him to work for her as a trainer! If this wasn't good enough, he also got a job as a Physical Therapy Aide at one of the clinics in Cedar that will start at the end of July. This is going to look so good on his applications (look out University of Utah, here we come!) He is so excited to be able to do things he loves, have his work apply more to his degrees, and to be able to get out of the Centrum! I am so proud of him. Sidenote: The countdown is on for how much time we have left in Cedar. It was weird moving here knowing that we'd be here for years, and we weren't entirely sure how long we would be here. Now we have 11 more months.

Travis graduated last week! He double majored in Athletic Training, and Exercise Science. I am so proud of him! He picked probably the most time consuming major (athletic training) because for the past two years he has been required to go to all of the sports teams practices and games, along with other volunteer hours such as with marathons, Huntsman Senior Games, summer camps, and H.S. events. On top of that he did another major, worked, and fulfilled his church callings (which for the majority of the time was in the Young Men's Presidency). He graduated Summa Cum Laude! Travis is such a hard worker, and is so smart. There is no doubt in my mind that he will be able to do anything he sets his mind to, and I am in good hands! Next step, Physical Therapy School! He has to take physics next year and will be applying to grad school in the fall and will start next May. He says graduating isn't a big deal because he's not done and still has 4 years, but I think this is a major step and am so proud of him!

Albuquerque

A few weeks ago Travis went to a clinical symposium in Albequerque for Athletic Training. He had a blast! They were gone for 5 days (it felt a lot longer than that). During that time they went to a lot of different classes and learned a lot of new research done within the world of Athletic Training. Besides learning a lot, he had a good time exploring the world of Albequerque. While they were there it was founders day, so they got to see a parade and mariachi (?) band. He brought me home some earrings, and I was so happy to see him when he got home I nearly tackled him.

I must be pretty good at being a second counselor because I will just called to be the second counselor in the Relief Society Presidency. I was so surprised. When I went to see the Bishop on Tuesday, I figured I was getting an "easy" calling like visiting teaching supervisor since I am already the YW Camp Director. WRONG. When I was called to be second counselor for Young Womens I was excited. I felt like I knew exactly what to expect and what to do. I have NO IDEA of what I am expected to do for this calling. I am excited because I know that I am about to grow so much, but I am also really nervous. I know that Heavenly Father wants me to be in this calling and that there is a purpose why I am here, so I know that he will help me along the way. The other ladies that I will be serving with are so awesome! I don't know them very well, but in the short time I've been with them they seem really in tune with the spirit, and funny! The Pres. and 1st coun. are older and they are always cracking jokes so I am sure that we will get along really well and have a blast while doing it. Let's see what Heavenly Father has in store for me :)

Cedar City

Anni and Vance came and hung out with us last weekend. We had such a good time! Most of the weekend was spent eating and watching basketball, but we did get a chance to go up the Cedar Trail through the Canyon. Looking at these pics I remembered what a beautiful place Cedar City is. I am lucky to live here and need to not wish for the days of when I can move futher north. I need to enjoy the time that we have here, and that is what I am going to do for the next year! Thanks for coming Anni and Vance! Come again real soon :)

Baptism

On the 5th, Trav's good friend Kohana was baptised. It was really neat when Kohana let us know that he was taking lessons from the missionaries. Travis started going with him, and we would invite over to our house to read scriptures with us (which was prob. better for us than him!) A few weeks before his baptism he asked Travis if he would baptise him! Travis was so excited. It was a really neat baptism, especially since ALL of Kohana's family was there to support him, even though they don't believe in the church. (When I say all, I mean alot! Ko is Native American and they consider everyone to be their family). He is the famous shot taken before the baptism.

It was a really neat experience. I'm grateful that we have the chance to be friends with Kohana and that we were able to be at his baptism. It is a good reminder of why we ourselves are baptised, and makes me want to be closer to our Heavenly Father and feel that way I did on my baptism day all the time.

We had an awesome Christmas break! I was able to take enough days off of work so we could be up north with our families for a week and a half. Nephi was awesome because all of us were able to be together since Cody, Marissa and Kaylee were able to come. We had lots of fun with them including Mexican Train, Kaylee yelling "take the garbage out" and luckily not too much sports! It was awesome! Midway was THE BEST because this was the first time my whole family has been together in about 5 years (last time Scott came home Ter wasn't with him and Joe was in Iraq). It was so fun and LOUD having everyone together, 16 people all in all! I had so much fun and wish we lived closer so we could be with both of our families more often. Last weekend Wayne, Connie, and Jennie came down to Cedar so we could all go the the Heritage and Livestock Fesitval! Friday evening our festivies involved going to look at all the vendors. There was alot of cool stuff! Wayne and Connie got some cool pottery! They got a roaster, honey pot, and dutch oven! Wayne got the girls some jewelry so I got a really pretty flower necklace. I also got myself a cute "adult" wallet so I had to say goodbye to my little girl green cordaroy wallet I got from Anni for Christmas a long time ago. Saturday morning we went to the parade that was full of horses, tractors, sheep wagons, old cars, and the finale of Sheep!! All in all, we had a great time!!

Travis just completed his first annual beard month. It was supposed to last all of October, but since I didn't want a mountain man of a husband at Anni's wedding we made a deal that he could start Sept. 17th, and he shaved Oct. 21. Here are the results!

A few weeks ago a lady I work with was organizing an Aids Walk in Kayenta (by St. George) so a bunch of us decided to go down to support her. I went with my friend Kate. It was acutally pretty fun! (minus the fact that I was so dumb to think that Kayenta wouldn't be as hot has St. George so I wore SWEAT PANTS and boy was I sweating in my pants! Afterwards I introduced Kate to the wonderful world of Cafe Rio, then we went to the Visitors Center at the Temple where she asked a lot of good questions (she is not a member). It was a fun day!

I officially have a real job in the real job. I was just hired to be the Administrative Assistant for the ACDC at SUU! I am very excited about this because 86 people applied so I was VERY nervous that I wouldn't get it. But, luckily I did! It is full time M-F 8-F, salary, and the best part is benefits! I start Thursday, and as soon as we can after that we are going to the dentist and the doctor for check-ups. I think the real world is going to be good :)

We were lucky enough to go to North Carolina for 7 days and stay with Cody and Marissa (Thanks so much guys!) and then we went to DC for 2 days. Such a blast. The only downside was I did not come home with a tan. Sorry to those on facebook. Alot of these pics will be a repeat, but I did try to spice it up a bit. You're just lucky I didn't put all 200 pics that we took up

I was going crazy in the 4 hour drive to D.C. The ride home was worse and took us over 6 because of traffic

Trav's favorite thing in the Natural History Smithsonian. A skull completely disassembled. There were so many cool things in this museum and so we took so many pics I just picked our favs.

Mine was a pic of a broken tibua and fibula with a rod in the fibula!! Ok that wasn't my fav but I thought it was cool

My real fav was the entire Holocaust Museum. It was so sad and so eye opening. I want to learn as much as I can about it and I need to read more books. I wasn't allowed to take pics in the best part of the museum, but here is a part that I could.

There were lots of WWII vets at the WWII Memorial. I was so happy to see them there and even cried a bit because I have no idea what they went through for our country. I was so proud of them and just wanted to hug them. I got a better pic of them and one guy even smiled at our camera instead of his.

Stick a Fork In Me Because I'm DONE

Today was GRADUATION! It feels so good/weird/relieving/exciting to be done. Most of my family was able to come. My parents, Anni, Kirk, Halle, Wayne, Connie and Jennie were able to come and support me. I was lucky enough to receive The Outstanding Family Life and Human Development Student Award so I had to sit on the stage! Here is a pic that Trav tried to get of me on the stage. It's blurry but I still like it :)

I was so grateful to have Trav's family come too! I am so lucky to have such a good family that cares about me.
I am really glad to be done, but I unexpectedly got sad after I received my diploma. All I have ever known is school (minus my semester off so I could heal). What will I ever do without homework?! But I will miss all the friends I have made in my classes, learning new things everyday, applying what I have learned in class into the real world, and my favorite Professor, Shawn! I'm sure it will really hit me once Travis goes back in the fall. Hopefully I can get a real job in the real world! Cross your fingers for me!

All Tyed Up

We did Relay for Life last week and it was a blast! The team we were on set up a tye dying station for everyone there to do. It was so fun and we were able to get some more donations out of it. Travis even got into it and tye dyed two shirts.

Here's the other part of our camp station. We didn't want anyone on the team to go hungry so we bought TONS of food. I would know, I had to go to Wal-Mart and buy it all because my boss hates shopping. Now I know why.

Me and Trav on the track. It was so much fun and we stayed a lot longer than we did last year. Thanks to everyone who donated! Oh ya, I straightened my hair that day. Well I didn't, but the lady who cut my hair did.

Last week was the much needed Spring Break. It was so great! We were able to see both sides of the family, both sides of friends (Hi Leslie!), and the best part was I got to completely IGNORE my homework (which I am still doing). The worst part is, besides having to come back, is that I brought our camera charged and ready to go and didn't take ANY pictures. So here is a picture of sweet little Halle in her oversized hat when they came to play with us in the beginning of February. Good news: only 4 more weeks of classes, 5 until I am a graduate! Woot! Well, I'll be a graduate if I can ever buckle down and finish the 2 research papers, 1 group project, one more stupid meal plan, and the many other little homework assingments I have left. Travis is doing a lot better than me and actually does his homework. Ha ha. I am rambling. So enjoy this pic of Hal!

Last weekend Trav put a team together for the Polar Plunge. He asked for donations and then jumped into this icy cold pond for the Special Olympics! I was really proud of him for wanting to do this, but I wasn't about to jump in. My hair would have turned into an ice cube and wouldn't have ever dried. Ok, so I'm being a bit dramatic. But the water was a whopping 35 degrees. Here are some pictures an a movie of our exciting Saturday!

Tonight was Travis' first game as the Athletic Trainer for the boys basketball team. It started out very slow and boring sitting by myself watching 2 basketball games, until...... da da da da! Kyle Kover walked into our humble gym to watch his brother on the opposing team! I scrounged up enough courage to go take my picture with him (with my friend Erin) during half time. After the game Korver went into the tunnel where Travis was with the team. Travis was able to get his pic with him! What I thought was going to be a boring regular basketball game turned out to be very eventful and worth it!

I am so awful at blogging. Probably because nothing too exciting ever happens to us. But that is ok! So we are into a new semester, which is my last semester! Woot woo! We are both super busy with school, work, and our callings. Travis was put with the basketball teams for athletic training so he is very excited about that. Work is going really well for me. I am going to a Regional NODAC Conference (National Orientation Directions Association) in February in Colorado. I also get to go to Snow College to help recruit students to come to SUU in February! Since I last posted Travis has turned 24 and I am 22! For my birthday Trav's parents came and took us out to dinner, and my best friend Leslie also came and hung out with me for the weekend! It was such a blast to just be able to hang out and not be rushed to do anything. Other than that not much is going on here in Cedar. Just can't wait for the next few months to go by, then hopefully I will have a realy job!

Last weekend Travis and I went to Fabulous Las Vegas with our friends Marc and Marcee. Since I have been of age for almost a year now, I tried my luck at the penny slot machines. I didn't do so well. I did make 20 cents at some point, but then lost a whole dollar to the casino. It was exhilarating though to finally be able to gamble, but it probably just won't happen again. Other than gambling we walked the strip (duh), shopped, ate way too much food, and went to a show. The show was called American Superstars where I met the amazing Michael Jackson! Ok ok, it obviously wasn't him but it was still cool. I wanted to get my picture with this superstar, but you had to pay money. I was so mad because it didn't cost to meet the other superstars, but of course it costs to meet the Michael wanna-be. I tried to sneak in a pic but then the security guard got mad at me and ushered me away. All in all, this was a fun quick trip!

Travis in Action

Saturday was the first time I have been able to see Travis in action with athletic training, so I went a little crazy taking pictures of him. Here are a few of Trav working at the SUU football game, which they actually won! They beat Texas State 38-16. I am so proud of him :)

School started a few weeks ago and ever since Travis and I have been up to our ears in books, homework, and just being busy! Travis is in the Athletic Training program and he loves it! Everyday he goes with the sports team at SUU, mainly football, and tapes ankles (or whatever they want taped), stretches the players, stimulates them (whatever that mean) and other things. He really enjoys it, which is good because he is typically gone from 6am to 8pm. Busy day. I have been busy with school and work too, and luckily just got a new job! Over the summer I was an Orientation Leader for the University (basically showed new students around campus, took them to lecutres, answered questions about being a new student etc) and I loved it! The advisor for this came up to me a few weeks ago and offered me a job! I will be doing all the behind the scenes stuff to get ready for orientation, and I will be trained so I can help new students register for classes next summer! I am so excited for this job! I will be starting next week, and am sad (not really) to be leaving the call center. Basically, that is it for Travis and me. We are staying plenty busy these days!

A few weeks ago I went to girls camp! It was so much fun, the only problem was I kept forgetting that I was a leader and not a girl. Our theme was virtuous women, so we were Eve. We then based camp on sort of a jungle/animal theme. It was really fun getting to know the girls more and being able to hang out with them.

What awesome leaders these girls have!

Everyone dressed up in all our jungle gear. Everyone called me Slash, so that is what i'm going to be for Halloween next year, and Travis is going to be Brett Michaels.

I convinced Travis to come up for a night, so these were our awesome preisthood leaders!

We did a skit called "America's Next Top Virtuous Woman" where Adam and Eve are looking for a virtuous woman to take there place.

The girls with their sashes describing themselves. Most of them were bad values like "Miss Worldly" "Miss Stuck-Up" "Miss Gossip" etc, and "Miss Virtue" won the contest. Cheesy, but it's the best I could come up with last second.

I love being in the Young Womens. It is so much fun. I especially loved camp because I got to know all of them better, and they got to know me better. I love my calling!

July 25 Travis and I went to the Demolition Derby with my parents! There were a lot of cool wrecks, roll-overs, and ambulances! Afterward there were some really awesome fireworks, the entire show was like a grand finale!

A Stampede of a Good Time

July 9-11 was the Ute Stampede in Nephi! Last summer was my first Stampede, and at first I couldn't believe somebody would want to go to all 3 nights of a rodeo, but this year I was so excited! We couldn't go Thursday night, but Friday we went with family and Saturday we were able to go with our friends! It was a way fun weekend.

Booger Ball Champions

In high school my friends and I usually ended up hanging out at Bryson's house. If all else failed for something to do on a Friday night, we would play a rousing game of booger ball. Booger ball has basically the same rules as volleyball, except the ball is massive! So massive my noodle arms have only served it over the net about once in my booger ball days. It always so fun to play because everyone looks like a dork, no one expects non-athletic people (cough like myself) to be good, and it's just plain fun! Last week some of my high school friends were able to get together and play our favorite sport! Long Live Boogerball!

Yes, that massive green ball is what you are trying to serve, and get across the net within 3 touches. We even got more intense this time and said it couldn't hit the ground at all (we used to give it one bounce, but now we've evolved)

Travis thinks he so tough because his bulky arms can throw it from one end of the court to the other. He kept making us lose because he would throw it too far out of bounds.

I'm just so silly.

4th of July was so fun spent in Midway! We went to an art show, the ever-famous Dairy Keen, had a BBQ, watched fireworks, and just hung out! Here are some pics from the day! Everyone was there except Scott, so it was really fun to be able to be with my whole family!

The not so "Booze Cruise"- On board Carnival Paradise!!

Last week Travis and I went on a cruise! It was so awesome and so much food! The best part was I didn't have to make it, or clean up afterwards! Our first port was to Catalina Island. It was so pretty there I loved it. The next day we were supposed to port in Mexico, but the Swine Flu but a stop to that, so we just spent two days at sea. It was still way fun, minus being sea sick. Here are some of the pictures of our trip! Oh, and it's titled the not so booze cruise because everywhere we went people were trying to sell us alcohol. One waitress got so used to us denying her that whenever she saw us, she'd just turn around and walk in the other direction.

Our room was on the very bottom of the boat, very front, R1. You could really feel it sway when we were at sea! It was a long hall to our room.

In Catlina we went on a glassbottom boat ride. It wasn't as cool as I thought it would be 1) because it made me super sleepy and 2) I thought the fish would be a lot brighter and more festive.

NBA Playoffs

So the NBA playoffs have been on at our house ever since they started in the middle of April. We really get into basketball, and watch every single game we can. Travis snuck a picture of me one night when I was so enthusiastically into one of the games.

We FINALLY heard back from the Athletic Training Department at SUU this week and Trav made it into the program! We are so excited. It will start in August, and will go 2 years (which means only 2 more years in Cedar City). I never doubted that he would get in because he is so smart, but he was a little nervous. He's not nervous anymore, just excited to get to workin!

"Bee"ing a Little Helpful This Weekend

This weekend Trav and I were part of a Relay 4 Life team here in Cedar City. We weren't as hard core as all those people who spent the whole night camping out, but we still had a lot of fun. We walked for 2 hours which ended up to be about 6 miles each. Not the most, but we still felt good. We also raised a bit of money for it so I was proud of us working together on it. Friday night there was a luminar ceremony lighting up the track and some of the bleachers. It was really nice and I'm glad we were able to help out!

It was about time for me to cut my triangular hair into something different. It was the longest it had been since I can remember, being past my sholders. But It was time for a change. I guess it can't be that big of a change when you have hair like mine, but whatever.

Here is all of my lost hair. It was so much it wouldn't fit into the dustpan in one trip. It looked like a fluffly dog. Most of it was from them thinning my hair.

And here is the final result!! Trav doesn't see much of a difference, but I sure do! It feels alot lighter and way shorter. The back is cut into a slight a-line, so the front is a bit longer. We even if you can't tell a difference, here is my sassy new do!!

Legal and Living It Up!

Last week was my 21st birthday! And let me tell you Trav and I did everything I am no legal to do.... haha ok maybe not everything. But Travis did plan a suprise party for me. He told me we'd be going to dinner when I got off work in St. George so I was so excited to get home. Then the dumb kid that worked after me was late. I was mad. But it was ok so I rushed home. As I opened to door to the dark living room friends jumped out yelling "Surprise!" and let me tell you I really was surprised. Trav made me a fancy German Chocolate Cheesecake in the dutch oven. It was so good! We ate cheesecake, played games, then I got some Mexican food! It was a great day! This past weekend my parents came down to visit us to celebrate mine and my dad's birthdays. This was the first year we weren't together on our birthdays. We had a fun weekend and here are some pics from it! Oh and P.S. Trav cut his hair really short now. Don't worry, he still looks like a stud.

One Year Later....

Around Christmas time my sisters and I like to have a "girls night" where we get together and go out to eat, shop, and watch some form of a chick-flick. This year it happened to be on Annika's and mine One Year Anniversary of our car wreck. That whole day I was so paranoid that one of us was going to get into a car wreck and that whole process would start over again and that maybe this year we wouldn't be so lucky. It didn't help that it was a snowy day. Nothing happened to anyone that I am aware of, and my sisters and I had a great time. I also had a chance to reflect on how grateful I am to still be here. This past year has been so amazing. I survived a deadly car wreck, I was able to be sealed for time and all eternity to Travis, I bought a condo, and was able to go back to school. I am so thankful for all that I have done, and all that I will get to do because angels saved my life and my sisters on December 19th, 2007.

The scar where my bones popped out of my leg. It has healed up so much over the past year. You used to be able to feel a big hole, but that has almost filled in and the scar has lightened up alot.

Carving Pumpkins

Trav and I carved pumpkins at our friends house the other day. Instead of doind regular smiley faces we decided to get creative!! Ok, so we used premade lay-outs, but still, they were hard! After a lot of hard work and 3+ hours later, I had made a spiders web with a spider dangling out of it, and Trav had carved a freaky haunted house.

Our dining room table that we bought at a yard sale, resanded, and repainted it. It was a lot of work this summer, but we think it turned out really nice and it's fun to have a bigger table when people come to see us (hint hint).

So we've been getting requests to see pictures of our house (cough Marissa) so it took me longer than it should of, but here they are! I'm still new to this whole blogging business. But our house is just small and cozy. It is so nice and we both love it! We have two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The spare bedroom is chock full of stuff, but we hope it can eventually be a guest bedroom. But probably not becaue we only have one bed.

We finally did it! My sisters have been asking us when we were going to start a blog so that got Travis pestering me when I would make one, so tonight when Trav went out to play basketball with the boys I sat myself down and started our blog! A little bit about us, we just got married in May and are now attending SUU in Cedar City. It's pretty nice we like it here. We bought a cute little condo and love it! We are the typical "boring married couple". We are in bed by ten, hang out at home on the weekends, but we love it. I just hope that enough things happen to us that we will be able to post some exciting news on our new blog!
