When playing church ball it is NOT a good idea to run your nose into someone's head after a lay up. But Travis did it any way last Thursday. I (of course) was at a work retreat in St. George when it happened so he had to take himself to the ER and I didn't get home until the next day around 6. We have seen SO many fights and broken bones throughout our 4 season in Cedar, I don't get why Travis continues to play. And yet he is so mad that he has to wait 2 weeks til he can play again.
The damage right after it happened
Sunday (superbowl night, which I am sooooo happy football season is over) when the black eyes came in.
Getting ready for surgery yesterday
The dreaded nose cast. He keeps threatening to rip it off. It (only) has to stay on until Tuesday or Wednesday (if it doesn't fall off Tues. the Dr. will take it off Wed. at his appt.)

Moral of the story: Church Ball is DANGEROUS!!

Wow Trav, the nose looks great ;) And I'm loving the nose cast!
Wow. Yeah, churchball can get RIDICULOUS. Rob always likes to go a half hour early before his games and we got to see a crazy fight. It was wild. I never believed Rob when he would say that churchball was dirty. They totally play dirty. Thank goodness it wasn't our ward that got out of hand! :)
I am not surprised one bit that he is ready and anxious to get back on the court :) Good work Travis!
He had to have surgery!!! AH! that's so intense! hehehe is it sad that I love church ball for this reason??? I love a good brawl. ;)
